This Week in the Community
Let’s dive into the lineup for this week’s Lede Yoruba sessions:
Hello, language enthusiasts and learners of Lede Yoruba!
In our stories, we'll discuss the iconic Landmark Beach in Lagos, Nigeria, and delve into the tragic story of how a multimillion-dollar business collapsed in just one day. We'll learn about the cultural and economic implications of this event and explore related vocabulary in Yoruba. In our movie session, we’ll learn Yoruba through a heartfelt and insightful scene where a gateman goes job hunting. This narrative will help you grasp vocabulary and expressions related to job searching, employment, and personal aspirations.
Learn with Stories and Issues - Agree or Disagree: Owning Your Own Business vs. Paid Employment
This week, we will have an engaging agree or disagree session where we practice past vocabularies with the topic: "Owning your own business is better than working for a firm or being in paid employment." This discussion will allow you to practice using Yoruba to express your opinions, agree or disagree with others, and reinforce your vocabulary related to business and employment. It’s a perfect way to enhance your conversational skills while debating a topic that resonates with many.
Learn with Movies - Learn Yoruba with a Gateman on a Job Hunt
In this session, we’ll learn Yoruba through a heartfelt and insightful scene where a gateman goes job hunting. This narrative will help you grasp vocabulary and expressions related to job searching, employment, and personal aspirations.
