Lights, camera, family dynamics! In our movie session this week, we'll be reviewing "Ifokanbale," a captivating Yoruba film that delves into the complexities of family relationships. Picture this: a mother finally meets her son's fiancée for the first time and is initially impressed and excited by her good behavior and culinary skills. However, the son is torn because he knows that his fiancée is not displaying her true character and attitude. As we unravel this intricate storyline, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to talk about yourself and your family in Yoruba. We'll also explore the important cultural expectations that Yoruba mothers have when meeting their children's soon-to-be spouses. Get ready to enhance your vocabulary and gain insights into the nuances of Yoruba family dynamics!


Learn Yoruba with Stories and Current Issues:

Your health matters, and this week's Stories & Issues session is all about exploring the world of health. From common ailments to maintaining well-being, we'll delve into health-related vocabulary and learn how to talk about your health in Yoruba. Whether it's expressing symptoms, discussing preventive measures, or seeking medical advice, this session will equip you with the necessary tools to navigate health-related conversations. Get ready to expand your language skills and deepen your understanding of health matters in Yoruba culture.


As usual, we will have the "Meet and Chat" sessions that have no agenda and allows you organically express your thoughts to each other.
