A century later, the Titanic is at the center of another disaster?!

Greetings, language enthusiasts!

We're back with our blog post to preview the week. But before that, Happy Canada Day and Happy 4th of July in advance for our celebrating friends from North America. Hope you're looking forward to a restful long weekend!

Now, let's buckle up and dive right in to the menu for this week!

Learn Yoruba with Movies:

Lights, camera, and a twist of truth! In our movie session this week, get ready for a scene that will have you laughing out loud while exploring the art of storytelling. Picture this: a lady, eager to impress her friends, weaves an intricate web of tales about the extraordinary gifts she receives from her boyfriend. However, her fantasy world is about to collide with reality when an unexpected stranger emerges to burst her bubble, accusing her of spinning a web of lies. It's a hilarious ride that will not only leave you in stitches but also enhance your vocabulary and provide insights into the importance of honesty and authenticity in relationships. The clip will be from this movie.

Learn Yoruba with Stories and Current Issues:

There are weeks in which years happen, and the past week was one of such. From the search for the missing Titan submarine, to new indictments and deals in the US political space to head-spinning insurrection in Russia over the past two days, last week was quite the handful. We can't discuss all of it, so let's just go with one.

We'll dive (pun not intended) into the tragic incident of five explorers who tragically lost their lives while exploring the wreckage of the Titanic off the coast of Canada in a private submarine. This heart-wrenching event has captured global attention, igniting discussions about the risks and consequences of daring expeditions. We'll explore the vocabulary related to this news story and engage in insightful conversations about exploration, risk-taking, and the pursuit of knowledge. This session will not only expand your language skills but also provide a platform to reflect on the importance of safety and responsible exploration.

As usual, we will have the "Meet and Chat" sessions that have no agenda and allows you organically express your thoughts to each other.

This week's schedule is the same as always.
